Dr. Steve Ferguson is pleased to announce the addition of Christopher Cyr to AVTRMed’s board of directors.

Guiding AVTRMed as a director is AI expert and NVIDIA commercial advisor Chris Cyr, whose credentials span roles as Chief Technology Officer at Sterling Computers, certified NVIDIA AI Advisor and former Enterprise Cloud Architect at Oracle where he founded the North American Cloud Technology Office and trained hundreds of engineers on enterprise AI adoption. With nearly three decades developing AI infrastructure for federal, defense and commercial clients, Cyr advises leading technology providers on data center optimization and edge computing deployment – expertise directly applicable to scaling clinical AI solutions across thousands of eyecare practices.

Cyr’s career trajectory demonstrates consistent leadership at the intersection of emerging technology and enterprise deployment. His tenure at Oracle included architecting cloud migration strategies for Fortune 500 clients, while earlier roles at Sun Microsystems and United Space Alliance provided deep experience in mission-critical systems where reliability and scalability are non-negotiable. As a frequent keynote speaker at industry events including Dell Technologies World and the AI for Defense Summit, Cyr has established himself as a thought leader on AI-ready infrastructure, an expertise particularly valuable as AVTRMed navigates the technical challenges of deploying sophisticated AI systems across diverse practice environments with varying technical capabilities.

“Chris brings exactly the kind of technical leadership we need at the board level as we scale from early adopters to broad market deployment”

said Dr. Steve Ferguson, AVTRMed founder and CEO. “His experience developing enterprise AI solutions for organizations with complex requirements mirrors the challenges we face in eyecare – thousands of practices with different technology stacks, varying bandwidth constraints, and zero tolerance for system downtime. Having Chris guide our technical strategy while Sterling provides both capital and infrastructure partnership creates a powerful alignment that accelerates our path to market while maintaining the reliability that clinical environments demand.”

Sterling’s position as both AVTRMed’s cornerstone investor and technology partner ensures alignment between capital efficiency and technical execution under Cyr’s guidance, providing AVTRMed with integrated strategic advantages that standalone technology vendors or traditional investors cannot replicate.
