John Lawrence is an accomplished entrepreneur and strategic advisor with nearly three decades of experience navigating complex healthcare transactions and regulatory environments. As a founding employee of NovaMed, he played a pivotal role in growing the healthcare services company from inception to a publicly traded enterprise with nearly 800 employees operating in 20 states before its acquisition by HIG Capital. During his 19-year tenure, John structured and negotiated over 100 acquisitions and divestitures, developing deep expertise in partnership development, regulatory compliance and value creation through strategic transactions. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Washington University in St. Louis, John brings invaluable experience in pursuing business opportunities through uncharted waters – a critical capability for eye care organizations navigating industry consolidation, regulatory changes and growth opportunities in today’s dynamic market.
