AVTRMed Selected as One of Six Innovators at the 2026 Eyecare Innovation Summit
COO Brian Regan to present AVTRMed’s AI clinic assistants to eye care industry leaders in Boulder, Colorado
DAKOTA DUNES, SD – September 17, 2026 – AVTRMed, developer of agentic AI clinic assistants purpose-built for eye care, has been selected as one of six innovator companies invited to the 8th Annual Eyecare Innovation Summit, taking place at the end of the month, in Boulder, Colorado. The invitation-only Summit brings together C-level executives from across the eye care industry with a small group of emerging companies. Participants take part in sessions on the changes shaping eye care and the future of work in the industry.
Brian Regan, Chief Operating Officer, will represent AVTRMed, and will present in the Summit’s Innovator Presentation session.
Administrative work is pulling doctors and their clinical staff away from patient care. Clinicians average about 60 hours a week, yet less than half of that time is spent with patients. Nearly half of providers report burnout; staff turnover exceeds 45%. AVTRMed’s multi-agent clinic assistants are built around ophthalmology and optometry workflows. They handle routine patient interactions such as appointment confirmations, scheduling, general inquiries and patient education. The assistants are designed to fit into existing front-desk and EHR / practice management operations with privacy, access controls and data isolation built in.
A subset of AVTRMed’s Voice Assistant began testing in February 2025 in two practices. Following refinement, and workflow expansion, deployment of its patient liaison and patient education modules is planned for fourth quarter of 2026. The company plans to follow with back-office and care team support.
“The Eyecare Innovation Summit puts us in the room with leaders who understand what practices are challenged with every day,” said Brian Regan, COO of AVTRMed. “Our team has lived these workflows, and we’re looking forward to candid conversations about how AI can give time back to care teams and their patients with this elite group of leaders.”
